PCB Board Tester

A PCB board tester is a device used to check whether a printed circuit board with mounted electronic components is working properly.
Typically, testing is done after the assembly of the circuit components and after the soldering process.

  • In-circuit testing
Applies a voltage and current to electronic components mounted on a printed circuit board to the extent that they are not affected, and checks whether individual components are mounted correctly and whether there are any soldering problems (Open/Short).
  • Function testing
Input and output electrical operations in the circuitry on the board are performed to confirm that there are no problems.
In addition to checking circuit functions by actually operating the mounted board, we also inspect components that are difficult to check with Open/Short using an in-circuit tester, as well as integrated circuit operations and software writing for ICs and other integrated circuits.

The inspection process is designed according to various requirement specifications, and the inspection results are managed in the inspection history.

Examples of customer requirement specifications

  • To check that LEDs are lighted
  • To check that wireless communication is possible
  • To check that communication data is correct
  • To check the current detection value by applying a large current
  • To check the insulation.

Example of PCB Inspection Equipment Production

The inspector is carefully checked before delivery to the customer.

Scan the product number with a QR code scanner.

The serial number is recorded in the computer.

inspection complete

If there were no problems, the results are stored linked to the serial number.

If there is a problem, the inspection is immediately interrupted and an error is displayed.
